While we were created to be mirrors reflecting the glorious love of the Triune God, the “virus” of Original Shame shattered that image, leaving us with a “Broken Self” that feels fundamentally defective. This brokenness drives us to live out of “Shame Scripts” which are internalized rules that attempt to manage our emptiness through social competition, self-devaluation, and spiritual independence. However, restoration begins when we look away from our shattered image and toward the Cross. Here, Christ replaces our scripted identity with His own, inviting us into a lifelong process of being washed, honored, and restored to our original design.

 

Through the FB Prayer Therapy, an intensive conversational journey is facilitated by Ministry Givers, and moves the Frontliner through iterative cycles to engage relationships: Vertically with God, and horizontally with people. While shame triggers a destructive downward spiral of self-devaluation, Jesus as Healer in this restoration journey, intervenes and initiates an upward spiral toward wholeness. The dynamic process focuses on several transformative moments.
